Zeitgeist’s Winter Bike Week: Bikes & Bites Tour
The Bites & Bikes Tour will bring riders to three stops on a tasty tour of Duluth. This family-friendly guided group ride will meet at Zeitgeist Arts Cafe for fries, pretzels and winter-biking tips. Riders will then bike together to Duluth Folk School to enjoy pork sliders or vegetarian sloppy Joe’s from OMC Smokehouse, cans Bent Paddle Beer and live music from Four Mile Portage. The last stop will be Bayfront Family Center for s’mores by the fire, hot cocoa and ice skating for those who would like. There will be a limited number of ice skates available for use, but people who can bring their own should.
This event is family-friendly and the majority of the route takes place on off-street, multi-use paths. Participants should bring bike lights if they have them. Included in the ticket is the guided group ride, all food and refreshments and one Bent Paddle Beer for each person 21+. Additional Bent Paddle beers will be available for purchase. Youth participants under the age of 18 are free, but please RSVP youth tickets by emailing shawna @ zeiteistarts.com. Creative bike decorations and lights are encouraged.
This event is part of Zeitgeist’s Winter Bike Week, which celebrates and encourages winter biking in all its forms — whether for fun and recreation or transportation and commuting. Working with partner organizations in the Duluth area, Winter Bike Week will host community events, educational workshops and family-friendly bike rides to demonstrate that winter biking is fun, practical and accessible to most people in the community.
