World Refugee Day Documentary

The Interfaith Committee for Migrant Justice (ICMJ) is proud to sponsor the documentary, Seeking Asylum, on World Refugee Day. This is a 66 minute documentary which bears witness to the endless deterrents migrants face when petitioning for asylum in the United States.
Since 2020, members of the ICMJ community have sponsored and hosted over 20 asylum seekers. Currently, there are 8 asylum seekers living with ICMJ host families in Duluth. Following the documentary, we invite you to join us for a panel discussion which will include some of our current hosts and asylum seekers. We hope that you will listen to their stories and learn what our Duluth community can do on a local level to help those who are going through the process of seeking asylum.
