Winter Plein Air Drawing

Matt Kania will teach the process of drawing en plein air (a French expression meaning “in the open air”) during this class at Minnesota Point Pine Forest Scientific and Natural Area in Duluth. Participants can find inspiration in the rolling snow-covered sand dunes, young and old pine trees, and a varied landscape.

Kania will instruct on how to approach drawing from nature, from start to finish, and how to find interesting subjects and introduce new materials.
