SUMMARY:West Duluth Memorial Day Parade 2027
DESCRIPTION:The annual parade along Grand Avenue in West Duluth features marching bands\, floats\, antique cars\, motorcycles and military groups. It is coordinated by Duluth Women of Today. \nParade units line up on 59th Avenue West between Raleigh Street and Grand Avenue beginning at 10:30 a.m. The parade begins at approximately 12:30 p.m. \nThe parade route runs east on Grand Avenue from 59th Avenue West to Central Avenue\, then south on Central Avenue to Ramsey Street\, and east on Ramsey Street where it disbands. \nParking is not allowed on either side of Grand Avenue along the parade route. “No parking” signs are posted along this route. Vehicles in violation are tagged and towed. Motorists should be alert to detours and officers directing traffic. \nAll traffic is detoured off Grand Avenue during the parade between 59th Avenue West and Ramsey Street starting at noon and continuing until the parade ends at approximately 1:30 p.m.  \nAll avenues and exits onto Grand Avenue between 59th Avenue West and Central Avenue are closed during the parade. 59th Avenue West is blocked from Grand Avenue to Raleigh Street for the parade line-up area starting at 10:30 a.m. \nDTA buses and other traffic are detoured around the Grand Avenue closure to Central Avenue\, Cody Street and 59th Avenue West.
