UMD Commander David R. Wheat H.E.R.O.S. Fundraiser

Minnesota Veterans for Progress and the University of Minnesota Duluth H.E.R.O.S. Fund committee host a fundraiser for the UMD Commander David R. Wheat Higher Education Returns Opportunities Scholarship (H.E.R.O.S.) at the Duluth Huskies game.

The Huskies will host the Rochester Honkers. Commander David R. Wheat will throw out the first pitch.

Before and during the game, Minnesota Veterans for Progress will sell Commander David R. Wheat Challenge Coins. This is a numbered limited edition coin; only 1,000 coins have been struck. The cost is $10 per coin. Minnesota Veterans for Progress will also sell dog tags for $5 a piece. For each $5 purchase, buyers will receive a door prize ticket. People who purchase a coin will receive two door prize tickets. People who purchase a dog tag will receive one door prize ticket. A door prize ticket may also be obtained for a $5 donation.

Door prize winners will be announced during the seventh inning stretch.All proceeds benefit the UMD Commander David R. Wheat H.E.R.O.S. Fund.
