Story and Play

Duluth Parks and Recreation and the Duluth Public Library partner on various Mondays and Saturdays during the summer for story time and activities for children. The events are held at a different neighborhood park each week. The events begin with story times at 9:30 a.m. followed by youth-focused activities and recreation until noon. Some activities are “grab and go” or can be completed with a parent or guardian at nearby picnic tables.

The stories introduce young children to books, rhymes, music and other activities that promote early literacy skills. The events are geared to children ages 0 to 5; any age is welcome to enjoy the story or play with Parks & Rec equipment.
