St. Louis River Alliance Canoe Trip 2021
The annual St. Louis River Alliance Canoe Trip will not have a picnic component this year and participation is limited. The group will meet at Woodstock Bay Primitive Boat Landing in Superior and paddle the bay on one of the routes from the newly designated St. Louis River Estuary National Water Trail. Both experienced and non-experienced canoeists are welcome.
Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged.
Participants should bring their own canoe or kayak if possible. Registration is necessary, whether participants have their own gear or not. There are a limited amount of scholarships available; email outreach @ stlouisriver.org to request more information.
Canoes, paddles and PFDs will be available for registered people who do not have their own. Participants must RSVP and pay by Aug. 4 at 4 p.m.
There will be experts to speak on river safety, canoe basics, location information and a St. Louis River Area of Concern Coordinator to share about projects happening in the estuary.
