Based on the 1992 movie, written by Joseph Howard, this gospel musical follows Deloris on her madcap escape from the clutches of corruption, as gritty Philadelphia meets the sanctuary of the church. Directed by William Payne.
Performances run April 18-20 and 24-27 at 7:30 p.m., with an ASL-interpreted matinee on April 28 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $21 for adults, $16 for senior citizens and UMD staff, $10 for non-UMD students and $8 for UMD students. Seating is reserved.
