Sandstone Ice Festival 2023

The 18th annual Sandstone Ice Festival is an ice-climbing event held primarily at Robinson Park Quarry in Sandstone, about 60 miles southwest of Duluth. It runs Jan. 6-8.

Friday Schedule
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Gear demos in Robinson Quarry Ice Park
4 to 9 p.m. – Climbers social at SandRocks Bar in downtown Sandstone

Saturday Schedule
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Ice-climbing clinics and gear demos in Robinson Quarry Ice Park
4 to 9 p.m. – Climbers party and presentation at Osprey Wilds Environment Learning Center

Sunday Schedule
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Gear demos in Robinson Quarry Ice Park
3 p.m. – Robinson Park event clean-up
