River Walk: Wetland Bird Monitoring

Mon, May 19, 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm | Free | Wisconsin Point

Event Navigation

The Lake Superior Reserve’s first River Walk of the year will be an introduction to wetland bird monitoring. Join the Reserve and researchers from NRRI’s Avian Ecology Lab to hear about the Great Lakes Coastal Wetland Monitoring Program, and how birds help us understand the impacts of invasive species, resource management, restoration and climate on ecosystems in a rapidly changing world.

Please meet at Wisconsin Point Lot #1. Restrooms are available. Participants will be walking, stopping and standing for just under 1 mile. The trail is a crushed gravel path.Long pants and close-toed shoes are recommended. The walk will happen in light-rain or shine. A severe weather cancellation will be posted if necessary.
