Public Meeting to Discuss Improvements to Irving Park
This informational meeting to discuss improvements to West Duluth’s Irving Park offers residents an opportunity to hear about plans for the final design and offer feedback.
Proposed improvements to the park include site lighting, new playground, field improvements, accessible ramp into park, repairs to stairway adjacent parking lot and improved outdoor gathering space near football concession/storage garage.
In 2015, the City Council approved the Irving Park Mini-Master Plan which outlines both short-term and long-term improvements to the park and acts as a guiding document for both the city and community partners. More information about the plan can be found at duluthmn.gov.
Those unable to attend this meeting may email comments or questions to Lisa Luokkala, project coordinator, at lluokkala @ duluthmn.gov or call at 218-730-4312.
Irving Park is part of the larger St. Louis River Corridor Initiative and is funded in part by the ½ and ½ Tourism Tax Fund. Project details can be viewed at duluthmn.gov.
