Event Navigation

The University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department’s Orchestra Concert features the UWS Chamber Strings performing chamber-music staples from Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky, as well pieces by Gershwin and Tailleferre. They will be joined by UWS’ String Techniques class and Lincoln Park Middle School Advanced Orchestra, both led by Byron Klimek.
The evening will include select movements from Felix Mendelssohn’s Sinfonie No. 10 in b minor, Germaine Tailleferre’s String Quartet, George Gershwin’s Lullaby, and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Serenade. The concert will also include “Fiddles on Fire,” featuring String Techniques students with the Lincoln Park Advanced Orchestra, directed by Klimek.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and free for students. Thorpe Langley Auditorium is in Old Main on the UWS campus.
