The North Shore Adventure Park opens its fifth season with new offerings and more deals for North Shore and Twin Ports residents. The Adventure Park offers climb and zip experiences for families, groups and individuals of all ages. It is the only forested Adventure Park in Minnesota.
The axe throwing attraction opened in July 2022 with six lanes that can accommodate up to 24 throwers. Guests can come in a group and use as many lanes as they need or rent just one lane for up to four people.
Two axe-throwing leagues are planned for early summer: a competitive adult league for ages 16 and up and a social/family league for ages 12 and up.
In 2022, the park started a discounted locals ticket for single visits and season passes for individuals and families. It launched a partnership with the Silver Bay and Two Harbors libraries to support reading programs with free tickets and other specials.
The North Shore Adventure Park is open late May through the third weekend in October. It is built on a mix of trees and poles. With views of Lake Superior, it offers six high ropes courses with ziplines including 75 adventure challenges that help develop skills and endurance. The Lil’ Rascals course is designed for kids ages 3-6. The park was built in 2019 and is locally owned and operated.
