Grandma’s Marathon and the Young Athletes Foundation host the inaugural North End Nightmare 5K, a Halloween-themed 3.1 mile race in conjunction with the North End Spooktacular. Free spider dash races for kids 14 and under take place prior to the 5K at 4 p.m. The race starts at 5 p.m. and will weave through the streets of Superior’s North End, starting and ending near the Top Hat Tavern. 5K participants receive a North End Nightmare hooded sweatshirt and spider dash participants receive a special mummy-theme trick-or-treat bag.
Adult registration is $30 until Oct. 24, and increases to $35 on Oct. 25. The entry fee for kids (ages 6-14) is $15. To register visit grandmasmarathon.com.
