Nordic Spirit Ski Race and Wooden Ski Tour 2023 (Canceled)

The Nordic Spirit Ski Race and Tour is a chip-timed, classic race with 12k and 24k options. The course winds through the woods of the Upper Spirit Mountain Nordic Trail System, with vistas of Lake Superior and the St. Louis Bay, along some of the most challenging terrain in the region.

There is also a Wooden Ski 10k race and a Cookie Classic free race for kids ages 2-13.

Registration Fees:
$50 for DXC Members
$60 for non-DXC Members
$30 for high school and college skiers
$25 for Wooden Ski 10k Race and Tour

Day-of-race registration is available with no late fee. Cash, check and credit card payments accepted. All registration fees are non-refundable, however, if the race is canceled the entry will be automatically transferred to the 2025 race.

Parking is available at the Nordic Center Chalet and the Adventure Park parking lot, which is near the Nordic Center on Skyline Drive.

Registration and packet pick-up is from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. outside the Nordic Center Chalet off Skyline Drive. Both of the races start at 10 a.m. near the Nordic chalet. The Wooden Ski 10k begins at 10:30 a.m. The Cookie Classic race for ages 2 to 13 is at noon.

An awards ceremony will be held at the start/finish line when all racers are off of the course. There will also be a bonfire and hotdog roast from noon to 2:30 p.m.
