New Year’s by the Lake
New Year’s by the Lake will be presented at four venues: Greysolon Ballroom, Moorish Room, Black Water Lounge and the Norshor Theatre in Downtown Duluth.
The event begins with a dinner in the Greysolon Ballroom with live music by Maxi Childs Trio followed by a production titled The Legends of Las Vegas starring Todd Eckart in the NorShor Theatre. (Note: All ticket packages that included the dinner are sold out.)
After the show, the Greysolon Ballroom will be converted into a dance hall featuring the country and rock sounds of Whiskey Trail.
In addition, Laura Velvet & the Bookhouse Boys will perform in the Moorish Room and DJ Cory Bonneville from Sounds Unlimited will play the greatest dance hits from the 1950s to today in the Black Water Lounge.
There will be balloon drops, apps, a champagne toast and party favors at midnight in all three rooms as well as a photo booth. Specially priced room packages are available at the Sheraton Hotel, located just across the avenue. All elements of New Year’s by the Lake are indoors and completely accessible via the Skywalk system.
5:30 to 6 p.m. – Doors open with a social hour in the West Wing Lounge at Greysolon.
6:15 to 7:45 p.m. – A four-course dinner will be served in the Greysolon Ballroom featuring a choice of two entrees. Live music will be provided by Maxi Childs Trio during dinner. Guests will then be escorted to the NorShor Theater for the show.
8 to 9:30 p.m. – A live musical performance featuring the Golden Days of Las Vegas featuring Todd Eckart and his band along with other musical guests. The music of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and more will be highlighted.
9 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. – Whiskey Trail performs in the Greysolon Ballroom. Late-night appetizers will be provided as well as a champagne toast, party favors and a balloon drop at midnight.
9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. – Laura Velvet & the Bookhouse Boys perform in the Greysolon Moorish Room. There will be a champagne toast, party favors and a balloon drop at midnight.
9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. – DJ Cory Bonneville plays the hits of yesterday and today in the Black Water Lounge. There will be a champagne toast at midnight.
