Under Director David Cherwien, NLC sings Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Ein feste Burg ist Unser Gott” (“A Mighty Fortress is Our God”), based on one of most well-known Lutheran hymns, composed by Martin Luther nearly 500 years ago. Bach’s cantata highlights this program of early Lutheran choral music which includes works by Johann Walther, Heinrich Schütz and others.
