Naantali Chamber Choir

The Naantali Chamber Choir perform a variety of Finnish choral music. The theme of the concert is “The Four Seasons of Finland” and includes “songs from summer to fall and from the darkness of winter to the light of spring.”
The Naantali Chamber Choir was founded in 1978 and has 30 singers. They perform actively in the Naantali-Turku area and collaborate with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America of Naantali regularly. The choir has toured extensively in Sweden, Canada, Estonia, Denmark, Germany and Hungary. The current artistic director is Antti Haapalainen, professor of music theory and composition in Turku Conservatory. Haapalainen has conducted the Naantali Chamber Choir since 2012.
