An event every week that begins at 6:30pm on Wednesday, repeating until Jan 30, 2019
Every Wednesday in January Glensheen hosts a Moonlight Snowshoe event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Day Tripper of Duluth guides the group around the 12-acre Congdon estate. Afterward, the group warms up by the bonfire.
The 2019 version offers participants the chance to explore parts of the Congdon estate not normally traversed by the public, including the wooded area next to Bent Brook and the recently restored Serpentine Wall staircase to Tischer Creek.
Participants should bring their own snowshoes or a good pair of hiking boots. Glensheen will have some snowshoes available for use. If there is not enough snow, the group will still hike the estate via boots.
