Memorial Blood Centers Blood Drive
Patients in local hospitals depend on Memorial Blood Centers to be there with the right blood type they need to survive. All blood types are needed. Donors help supply nearly 40 local hospitals and more than a dozen air ambulance bases.
Memorial Blood Centers follows strict safety protocols for donors and staff to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and its variants. Donors are required to wear a face mask or face covering and there is a self-screening policy and general eligibility guidelines.
Donating blood is safe for people who are in good health, free of antibiotics for 24 hours (unless taken daily for skin condition), symptom-free for at least three days following a cold or a flu, and age 17 or older (16 with written parental consent).
Walk-in donors are welcome, but appointments are encouraged. To register for a blood drive visit mbc.org or call 1-888-448-3253.
