DESCRIPTION:Experience Duluth/Misaabekong through Ojibwe/Anishinaabe perspectives\, exploring the stories\, histories and relationships that have shaped the city and continue to resonate today. Participants move through significant sites in Duluth while exploring the meaning of Misaabekong\, Ojibwe fur trade history\, the story of Chief Buffalo and Anishinaabe relationships to the land and waters of the region. \nThis event begins in downtown Duluth and continues toward Canal Park and the city’s surrounding landscape. Participants encounter familiar places through stories and perspectives that illuminate Indigenous knowledge\, and community memory. \nK-12 Educators will receive 3 clock hours upon completion of the event. \nComplimentary registrations are available to help ensure cost is not a barrier.
