Last Full Measure: an Abe Lincoln Reenactment
One event on Aug 21, 2016 at 10:00am
As Lincoln, Fritz Klein brings the true essence of the sixteenth President of the United States to life. He represents the Lincoln Institute for Education in Lincoln’s hometown of Springfield, IL. Klein bears a striking physical resemblance to Lincoln. His programs are thoroughly researched, and he adroitly blends Lincoln’s dry, self-effacing humor with his great humanity.
Fritz Klein brings this unique opportunity to Duluth this weekend at the Train Museum in the Depot. Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m., experience Last Full Measure, a moving presentation of the final thoughts and recollections of a dying president. The program lasts 45 minutes.
Shorter Lincoln Talks are fifteen to twenty minutes of snippets from Lincoln’s term in office, his battles with his Generals during the Civil War, a look into his personal life and profiles of the people around him during his time in Washington. Presented both days at noon, 1 and 2, these will be followed by photo opportunities and Q&A time.
All the while, the backdrop of the Lincoln Funeral Car will be open for guided tours during regular Museum hours. All of this is included free with regular Depot admission.
