Palo native Steve Solkela and his My Humble Opera stages their version of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s comedy live on the Sacred Heart altar stage. La Serva Padrona was written and composed in the 18th century, and its story revolves around a bachelor in a powdered wig who marries his servant after she tricks him into believing she is about to marry a military man. The performance includes modern English “subtitles.”
Advance paper tickets are available at Globe News in Superior (cash only) and Zenith Bookstore in West Duluth (plus a $1 handling fee). Tickets will be available at the door for $25 while they last. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
