Keep Duluth Clean: Fall Clean-Up

Keep Duluth Clean is a Duluth volunteer-based group organizing clean-ups and raising awareness on litter, dumping and other environmental issues within the city. KDC organizers are coordinating their semi-annual, all-day, citywide clean-up event with the mission to inspire residents to take part to rid the city of trash before going into the winter months.

Volunteers are encouraged to clean up in front of their homes, at a nearby park, trail or stream, or at other locations where individuals see value in cleaning up. Volunteers who submit a litter report form, will be eligible for random drawings of giveaways from local Duluth establishments.

Keep Duluth Clean is a Duluth-based group organizing volunteer clean-ups and raising awareness on litter, dumping and other environmental issues in the city. This past spring the group organized more than 700 volunteers who removed more than 7 tons of waste from public spaces in Duluth.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this event will be decentralized and primarily self-directed so participants can practice social distancing and target clean-up efforts where they see fit. Volunteers are encouraged to follow recommended safety guidelines by the CDC for outdoor activities, wear a mask when necessary, and use gloves when picking up garbage.
