The ninth annual Knife River Julebyen, a Scandinavian-themed Christmas festival, runs Dec. 4-5. Indoor and outdoor marketplaces will showcase wares of artisans selected by a juried process, including crafts created in Knife River.
Masks are required at inside the recreation building.
The Julebyen Express train will take festival goers to Knife River and back from the Duluth Depot on both Saturday and Sunday. The popular Troll Train will run to Troll Canyon. Tickets are available at the Duluth Depot and the Troll Village in Knife River.
