Event Navigation

Veterans Memorial Hall, a program of the St. Louis County Historical Society, hosts the unveiling of a new traveling exhibit titled James Joseph Hubert: Duluth WWII Hero Returns Home on the third floor just outside of the Great Hall at the Depot.

The exhibit opening will include the announcement of the James Joseph Hubert Memorial Scholarship (to be awarded in 2022) and an opportunity to contribute to the scholarship fund. The event will also feature a film trailer for the debut of “We Never Forgot Him”: USMC Sgt. James Joseph Hubert’s Long Journey Home, an upcoming documentary film. The documentary illustrates the events that lead to James’ discovery, identification, repatriation and ultimate return home to Duluth in 2017. Appetizers and refreshments will be served following the announcements.
