Hands Up: Police/Community Relations in Duluth

UMD students, faculty and staff are invited to share their experiences with police during this forum on police-community relations on campus. Carl Crawford, Duluth’s human rights officer, and UMD Sociology Associate Professor Emily Gaarder will facilitate the conversation. Duluth Mayor Emily Larson, Police Chief Mike Tusken, Mending the Sacred Hoop’s Jeremy Nevilles-Sorrell, and civil rights activist Kym Young are scheduled to attend.

The College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota Duluth is hosting this event in Bohannon Hall, room 90.

Participants are invited to share their stories either in advance or at the event.
