From River Bottom to Kitchen Table: Links in the Estuary Food Chain

The St. Louis River Alliance and St. Louis River Area of Concern partners for a special event ‘From River Bottom to Kitchen Table – Links in the Estuary Food Chain’.

Anyone can learn how critters that live in our riverbed form the foundation of the food chain and how they are beginning to recover after the completion of several remediation and restoration projects. Reflections from a local resident on what fishing was like before the cleanup efforts began and the changes they’ve seen in the river since will be shared. Participants learn about Minnesota and Wisconsin fish consumption advisories and how fish recovery is expected to progress as the St. Louis River continues to heal.
