Live Launch of the Documentary I Can’t Breathe
Join the Clayton Jackson McGhie Memorial committee for a virtual 2020 Day of Remembrance to honor the victims of the 1920 Duluth lynchings. This day comes hundred years after a mob of 10,000 community members lined the streets of Duluth to participate in the lynching of Elias Clayton, Elmer Jackson and Isaac McGhie. Check Clayton Jackson McGhie Memorial Facebook page to join the watch party at 5 p.m. A discussion panel will follow at 7:10 p.m.

The events above are part of a number of sequential events in 2020 commemorating the 100th anniversary of the public lynchings of Elias Clayton, Elmer Jackson and Isaac McGhie in Duluth. The horrific lynching represents one of the darkest moments in Twin Ports history, and the Clayton Jackson McGhie Memorial committee is finalizing plans for numerous events to bring people together in honor of the men who were killed in 1920 and work to eradicate racism in today’s society.
