“Endangered: Lives and Ways of Living” Art Exhibit
Papercut artist Ellen Sandbeck and painter Moira Villiard’s art exhibit Endangered: Lives and Ways of Living opens in the Dr. Robert Powless Cultural Center. The exhibit explores the human impact on the environment through two lenses: on one side of the gallery, endangered species line the wall in the form of intricate paper-cut images illuminating a broad spectrum of vulnerable biodiversity, while on the other side, illustrations depicting the history of wild ricing delve into what’s at stake for a way of life in the face of sulfide mining.
The art exhibit will be on display through August 31st and is free and open to the public, with a $10 suggested donation to support AICHO’s programming. Refreshments will be served at the reception. For more information, contact Moira Villiard at [email protected].
