Duluth-stämman Fiddle Workshop: Springarlike Tunes

Zosha Warpeha teaches a class on springleik, a type of tune played on flatfele in Gudbrandsdalen and surrounding regions of Norway. Characterized by a short first beat and lyrical melodies, this workshop includes an introduction to uneven 3/4 meters abd us appropriate for intermediate and advanced fiddlers, with some experience playing by ear. Other instrumentalists are also welcome to attend.

This workshop is part of the the second annual Duluth-stämman: Nordic Music and Dance Festival, which offers dances, workshops, jam circles, performances and youth activities that aim to be inclusive to people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
