Duluth’s Primary Election ballot includes partisan races for U.S. Senate and Congress, State Senator, and a nonpartisan race for St. Louis County Board.

Use the handy polling place finder to locate where to vote.

Early voting opens on June 26. Due to COVID-19, the public is strongly encouraged to vote by mail. Visit mnvotes.org to submit an absentee ballot request or visit duluthmn.gov/city-clerk. A witness is not required for 2020 primary ballots of registered voters. Voters are encouraged to request an absentee ballot before July 10 to ensure timely delivery and to mail return ballots by Aug. 5 to ensure delivery before Election Day. Voters can also return ballots in person to City Hall.

Absentee ballots must be received by the city clerk’s office by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

From June 26 to Aug. 10, Duluth voters can vote in person at Duluth City Hall, 411 W. First St., room 330. No appointment is necessary. Stay safe protocols are in place at City Hall and masks are available for voters. The hours for early voting are:

Monday through Friday – 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (closed July 4 and 6)
Saturday, Aug. 4 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 10 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The General Election will take place Nov. 3.
