Three separate events: National Night Out, Operation K-9 and Kids, Cops and Cars.
National Night Out (Tuesday, August 3 from 5–9 p.m.) is an event that helps enhance relationships between law enforcement and the neighborhoods they serve. Duluth Police Department officers will be participating in neighborhood block parties throughout the city.
Operation K-9 (Thursday, August 12 from 4–7:30 p.m. at UWS Field) will feature K-9 demonstrations, law enforcement vehicles on display and an opportunity to meet the dogs of the Duluth Police Department, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, Hermantown Police Department and the Superior Police Department.
Kids, Cops, and Cars (Thursday, August 19 from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. at Bayfront Festival Park) will showcase multiple law enforcement and first-responder vehicles that are ready to be explored and played in. There will be K-9 demonstrations, a tug-of-war, free food and other activities to participate in.
