The Duluth Monarch Festival includes a locally grown native plant sale from Shoreview Natives, information tables with local environmental groups, movies with popcorn, live eggs, caterpillars and monarchs.
Alex Carroll, Monarch Joint Venture’s Midwest Science Coordinator gives a special keynote speech, “Drones, Milkweed & Monarchs: How Drones are Used to Evaluate Milkweed Availability for Monarch Habitats.” Listeners can learn about the science in action and experience a demonstration of a drone in flight. The keynote presentation starts at 10:30 a.m.
