Duluth History & Sightseeing Bus Tour
An event every week that begins at 10:00am on Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday, repeating until Sep 30, 2019
This two-hour tour goes back in time to explore the earliest stories from Duluth’s history — Indigenous cultures, early European settlers, northwoods pioneers and savvy tycoons — to help place Duluth’s present and future in a more comprehensive context.
The tour bus embarks on a history adventure while a guide explains the origins of Duluth and stories associated with the Waterfront District and Downtown Duluth’s Historic Arts & Theater District before entering the eastern Congdon neighborhood and Mansion District. The journey continues across historic Skyline Parkway on a modern-day “Tally-Ho” withs spectacular views of modern-day Duluth, the Duluth-Superior Harbor, and the St. Louis River Estuary. The group will take a break at scenic Enger Park and learn more about the Duluth-Superior Harbor before dropping into Lincoln Park and back to Canal Park.
