Duluth Explorers Club: Jared Munch

Jared Munch kicks off the fifth season of the Duluth Explorers Club, a monthly celebration of fine spirits and the human spirit held at the Vikre Distillery throughout the cold months. Departing from Duluth in June of 2019, Jared Munch began his second multi-week stand-up paddleboard journey as he made his way 920 miles over 36 days around the northern side of Lake Superior, up the Michipicoten River, and down the Missinaibi River to James Bay. Previously, Jared had become the only person to ever circumnavigate Lake Superior on a stand-up paddleboard. Jared’s most recent journey took him through wind and waves on the lake followed by nearly 400 miles of whitewater rivers.
