Last June, local filmmaker Ryan Rumpca pushed off the docks of Longyearbyen in the Svalbard archipelago onboard a 52′ sailboat with one direction in mind: north. Along with the showing of his short film Where the Wind Takes You, Rumpca will cover the route, the logistics and the rich history of polar exploration in this area and will show some behind-the-scenes footage of film production in the Arctic. Social time at 7 p.m., presentation begins at 7:30.
