Duluth Art Institute Masquerade Gala 2019
The Duluth Art Institute’s Masquerade Gala celebrates contemporary art, artists and the community. This year’s event will be held in the Duluth Depot’s Great Hall.
The event features an aerialist performance, a 3-course sit-down meal from Duluth Grill, a silent auction of items inspired by the neighborhoods and communities the Duluth Art Institute serves, a live auction, and a drag performance at the conclusion of the evening.
Each gala attendee will go home with art made by a table host. This year’s hosts are Cheng-Khee Chee, Claudia Faith, Darren Houser, Kristen Kaas, Karen Keenan, Lenore Lampi, Adam McCauley, Juliet McLellan, Chris Monroe, Rita Morris & Barry Sands, Karen Nease, Ed Newman, Ann Price, Robb Quisling, Tom Rauschenfels and John Ulrich.
5 to 6:30 p.m. – Cocktail Hour with Aerialist Show
6:30 p.m. – Dinner and Auction
9 p.m. – Drag Show

The Masquerade Gala is the Duluth Art Institute’s main fundraiser. Funding from the event supports the organization in bringing art to and inspiring art in everyone. The DAI serves 68,000 artists and art lovers in the region and throughout the state with visual art exhibitions, art classes for all ages, and artist services such as professional development and networking.
