Studio Cafe is hosting Dance Your Art Out in collaboration with DJ Jesscribe the Vibe and visual artist Swertyman. This dance event features a community display of disco ball art. Stations are also be set up for “getting your art out” onto canvas beneath blacklights while Jess mixes dance tunes.
Submissions for creatives hoping to display their mirror ball art, to be shared at Studio Cafe during the night of the event, and up to two weeks after the event in the main cafe, can be found here: https://forms.gle/5iFmjtJXeqkJLUJj9. The deadline to submit is May 30, which guidelines included on the form. To request an extension or ask a question, contact [email protected] or [email protected] Once a submission is accepted, artists must drop off their items by Friday, June 20.
Tentative Workshop Dates:
Thursday May 22, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Thursday May 29, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Thursday June 5, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Jess Morgan is a fiscal year 2024 recipient of a Creative Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
Admission to the dance event is a suggested $5 donation.
