Mental Health Action Concert 2022: Cloud Cult and Elska

Let’s Talk Minnesota presents the third annual Mental Health Action Concert featuring Cloud Cult with show opener Elska.

The event is meant to raise awareness for children’s mental health and wellness as well as draw attention to action items anyone can do to help improve mental health services in the region. The concert will highlight the Let’s Talk Minnesota campaign devoted to raising awareness for mental health crisis resources. Representatives from organizations providing mental health services to adults and children will staff a resource fair between 6 and 7 p.m.

Minnesota’s Cloud Cult has a rich eleven-album history of bucking the mainstream music industry in favor of independently releasing music via their environmentally conscious record label Earthology Records. Hailed as one of the Top 10 Green Bands by Rolling Stone, the New York Times has lauded the band’s philosophical lyrics and alternative-orchestral-folk-rock sound as “A sprawling kaleidoscopic invocation of the life force with songs that veer from jubilation to simmering prayerful mediation.”

Elska (Duluth’s own Elsa Lee) brings a blend of social justice and personal vulnerability through songs described as a “modern take on the 1960s revolution music.”

All revenues, including proceeds from artwork created during the Cloud Cult performance, will go toward helping Life House develop a recording studio for the youth who benefit from their services.
