Café Scientifique: Color and Clay with Karin Kraemer
Karin Kraemer, artist and owner of Duluth Pottery, leads the discussion at this special edition of Café Scientifique. She’ll give a crash course in color and clay, and show the different stages of pottery production, while sharing stories of experiments gone right and wrong.
Café Scientifique Twin Ports is an event at which, for the price of a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, anyone can explore the latest ideas in science and technology. Meetings take place in cafés, bars, restaurants and even theaters, but always outside a traditional academic context.
All ages are welcome. Events are held on the last Thursday of each month. They are typically an hour long, with around 20 minutes of presentation followed by 40 minutes of discussion. After the hour, presenters allow the discussion to continue among the participants.
