Book Signing: Bruce Berglund

Bruce Berglund will sign copies of his recent book The Fastest Game in the World. This global history of a global sport draws upon research conducted around the world in a variety of languages. From Canadian prairies to Swiss mountain resorts, Soviet housing blocks to American suburbs, Berglund takes readers on an international tour, weaving in hockey’s local, national and international trends.

Berglund was born in West Duluth (not far from the bookstore) and is a graduate of Denfeld High School and veteran of Duluth parks hockey. He has written for the Washington Post and CNN Opinion. He taught history at Calvin College and the University of Kansas and is the author of Castle and Cathedral in Modern Prague.
