Bonfire and Hot Chocolate at Bayfront Park
The Bayfront Family Center skating rink at Bayfront Park hosts an outside bonfire on Friday nights with free hot chocolate available to skaters, while supplies last. Sleds, snowshoes and small cross-country skis are also available for kids to try for free with parental supervision.
Duluth’s Parks and Recreation division invites the public to experience winter recreation at Bayfront Park seven days a week, weather permitting. The Bayfront Family Center provides a place to warm up after skating. Regular hours are 4 to 8 p.m. on weekdays, 1 to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Extended hours are arranged on school release days or breaks.
The rink will be closed if wind chills reach -20 degrees Fahrenheit, or if warm weather creates melted puddles on the ice.
