Art Camp: Drawing and Painting Outside with Nelia Harper

Ages 9-13. The natural and built environments in the Lincoln Park neighborhood will serve as inspiration for campers to take their drawing and painting skills everywhere they go. With a sketchbook in hand and a variety of drawing and painting tools by their side, campers will learn how to work on-site, practicing plein air techniques. Alongside artist Nelia Harper, a student at the Great Lakes Academy of Fine Art, campers will learn how to draw and paint from nature. This camp primarily takes place outdoors and campers will need to wear suitable clothing depending on the weather conditions.
The camp runs June 14-18 from 1 to 4 p.m. The cost of the sessions is $150 for Duluth Art Institute members and $200 for nonmembers. To learn more or register, visit duluthartinstitute.org.
The Duluth Art Institute is following CDC Covid-19 guidelines, as well as state and local protocols. Physical distancing measures are practiced in all indoor spaces. Masks are required when indoors.
