UMD Theatre presents Sophocles’ ancient tragedy, Antigone. The play’s universal questions of power and civic duty are posed through a modern translation reflecting current political conflicts. The show is directed by Jenna Soleo-Shanks and based on the translation by Don Taylor.
Performances run Sept. 28-30 and Oct. 3-7 at 7:30 p.m. with one Sunday matinee on Oct. 1 at 2 p.m.
The show runs approximately one hour and forty minutes with no intermission. Tickets are $21 for adults, $16 for senior citizens and UMD staff, $10 for non-UMD students and $8 for UMD students.
