SUMMARY:Victorian Seance Experience
DESCRIPTION:At the height of the Spiritualism movement in the United States\, a little-known insurance salesman befriended and gained the intimate trust of professional mediums as they plied their trades while passing through Omaha\, Nebraska. His name was David P. Abbott. \nAbbott catalogued and published these secrets in his book\, Behind the Scenes with the Mediums. Magician Michael Callahan has studied this text for years\, and using these time-honored techniques\, he is bringing the Victorian séance experience back to life. \nThe evening begins with a mini flashlight tour through the Fairlawn Mansion and up to the third floor\, where guests enter the world of Victorian spiritualism and experience an hour-long Victorian seance performance. \nTickets are available at superiorhistoricproperties.org. Three session times are available: 6\, 8 and 10 p.m. The event takes place mostly on the third floor of the mansion. Fairlawn does not have an elevator so guests need to climb three flights of stairs to get to the show. The performance is intended for ages 13 and up.
