SUMMARY:Duluth Snowplow Naming Contest Begins
DESCRIPTION:The city of Duluth’s third annual snowplow-naming contest begins Oct. 9 when submissions are accepted for suggested names of a snowplow. Any Duluth resident may submit their most creative suggested name for one of the city’s snowplow truck fleet via a form on the city of Duluth website. \nName submissions are accepted online through October 23\, 2026. The collected name submissions will be narrowed to a field of finalists\, which will be announced on City of Duluth social media and the City of Duluth website on October 28\, at which time the public can vote online through November 6 for their favorite snowplow name. The name that receives the largest number of votes wins. The person submitting the winning name will be notified on November 12 that their name was selected. The newly named snowplow will debut at the Christmas City of the North Parade. The resident with the winning name submission will get the opportunity to take a photo with the plow and the crew\, to ride in the snowplow during the parade\, and will receive unlimited bragging rights. \nDetails\, timeline\, rules and regulations are available duluthmn.gov/.
