Concerts on the Pier: Gaelynn Lea and Sugar on the Roof

Violinist Gaelynn Lea is a Duluth-based singer-songwriter who won National Public Radio’s Tiny Desk Contest in 2016 and toured internationally until the pandemic began, when she launched a series of livestreamed “Sunday Sessions.”
Sugar on the Roof has been added to this show after the July 28 concert was canceled due to weather.
This concert closes out the sixth season of performances on Glensheen’s 100-ft pier on Lake Superior.
The show is open to all ages. Attendees are invited to bring their own blanket or lawn chair. Outside food and beverage are prohibited. Service animals are allowed on the estate; other pets are discouraged.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bike, boat, walk or kayak to the concert since parking is limited. Gates open at 5 p.m.; music starts at 7.
