SUMMARY:Scarium at the Aquarium 2026
DESCRIPTION:Great Lakes Aquarium invites guests to their spookily-decorated aquarium to trick-or-treat among the exhibits and show off their creative costumes. The event features crafts\, projects and games\, as well as activity materials to take home and enjoy. \nGreat Lakes Aquarium proudly participates in the Teal Pumpkin Project. That means that no edible treats are provided during trick-or-treat. \nPre-registration is required for all parties\, with times available on Oct. 27-29 between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. \nIn order to allow time for event set up\, Great Lakes Aquarium adjusts their hours for the event and is open to the public from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on October 27th\, 28th\, and 29th. The exhibit floor re-opens at 4:00 p.m. each day to accommodate pre-registered Scarium at the Aquarium guests. \nCost is $20 for adults\, $16 for youth ages 13-17\, and free for members or children 12 and younger.  \nFor more information\, visit GLAquarium.org/Scarium.

SUMMARY:Duluth Haunted Ship Tours 2026
DESCRIPTION:This October the William A. Irvin freighter is fraught with the Captain’s Curse\, a mystery for attendees to solve. It starts outside\, with giant sea-life tendrils reaching up the now Captainless boat\, and continues aboard the length of the 610 ft. ship with crew morphing into various cryptids from its nooks and crannies.  \nThe tours also features lights\, bonfires\, drinks\, food for purchase and more. \nThis season runs every weekend on Thursdays\, Fridays and Saturdays from Oct. 2-31. \nNo child under the age of 12 is admitted without a parent. Parental guidance is suggested. Due to the historic nature of the ship\, this tour is not handicapped accessible. Special effects in use during the tours\, such as strobe lights\, may aggravate existing health conditions. Organizers ask to please keep this in mind when deciding if it is appropriate to participate in the tour.
