Saturdays at the Farm
Every Saturday from June to September the Eco3 Urban Farm is open for activities from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to help out with farm projects and enjoy the fresh air with hands-on family activities from 1 to 2 p.m. The Ecolibrium3 Urban Farm is on the Lake Superior College campus.

Invasive Wild Parsnip Pull
Duluth Parks and Recreation and its partner organization, the Duluth Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area, are hosting five wild parsnip eradication events in July. Volunteers are needed. Attendees must wear long-sleeved clothing, pants and closed-toed shoes. Additional protective equipment, tools and instruction will be provided; no prior experience is needed. This pre-event takes place prior to the start of Lake Superior Day on Wisconsin Point lot number five. The Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve and Friends of the Lake Superior Reserve are looking for 25 volunteers for the removal of spotted knapweed. Attendees can sign up here.
